Canadian Update- Meet Sam Rai
Meet Sam, our newest Client Development Representative in Canada. Sam has more than ten years of experience in the market research industry and in his current role as Director, Sam is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and providing guidance on the optimal approach to conducting online data collection.
Before coming to Greenfield Online, Sam worked as an Account Manager at Research Now (formerly Open Venue e-Research Solutions). Prior to working at Research Now, Sam was a Research Manager with the Ipsos-Reid Corporation.
Sam is working in the Toronto office.
GFOL Insights: Sam, so what should market researchers know about the Canadian marketplace?
Sam: Great question. I have found in some cases that when companies conduct market research, they apply learnings from the US market to Canadian consumers. I’m sure there are many instances where US consumers and Canadian consumers are similar. However, there are certainly differences that exist between the two, especially when considering the media and products Canadian consumers use. It’s important for market researchers to remember that Canada needs special attention and localized research and that’s what we want to help with.
GFOL Insights: What do you think about working in the Toronto office?
Sam: I’m enjoying it here. The Toronto office is where many of our project staff are located. As a sales representative, I feel as though I have a true understanding of how we, Greenfield Online, not only sell, but fulfill and service a project. Client satisfaction is an extremely important point of differentiation for us and it’s really apparent when I interact with the service teams here in the office.
GFOL Insights: What else should we know about you?
Sam: Simply put, I’ll make myself available to discuss your online data collection projects. As well, I wouldn’t mind having a client in Las Vegas, NV as we all know how cold Canadian winters can be!
